Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) Launches an Ultra Low Noise Dual Output DC/DC μ Module regulators have patented innovations in chip design, layout, and packaging. The front end of the LTM8080 is an efficient synchronous Silent Switcher ® Step-down voltage regulators, followed by two separate low noise, low differential pressure (LDO) regulators, operate with an input voltage of up to 40 V. To further suppress switching noise, the LTM8080 package incorporates EMI shielding, with noise values as low as<1 µ VRMS (10 Hz to 100 kHz), 2 nV/√ Hz (10 kHz) point noise, and 80 dB PSRR (100 kHz). Compared to a discrete solution without EMI shielding, the LTM8080 can reduce the output ripple voltage by 70%, enabling a simpler and quieter design. The LTM8080 is designed to power digital loads that are susceptible to switching regulator noise, such as data converters, RF transmitters, FPGA I/O and clocks, operational amplifiers, transceivers, and medical scanners.
