NS2582

    The NS2582 is a synchronous boost dual lithium battery charge management chip that supports 4-5.5V input voltage range with a maximum output of 2A current. The chip integrates MOSFETS with very low on-resistance to achieve high charging efficiency, and the chip requires only a few peripheral devices. The NS2582 operates at 1.2MHz and integrates multiple protection functions to maximize the protection of chips and terminal devices. The charging current in CC mode can be changed by adjusting the resistance value of the RICHG resistor, and the constant voltage point of 8.4V or 8.7V can be selected by adjusting the CV pin. Chip built-in input adapter current limiting DPM function, through the external divider resistor set different VSEN voltage to match different adapters. Chip integrated temperature control loop, can intelligently adjust the charging current to control the chip temperature. The NS2582 also has a built-in charging status display function to determine the working status of the battery through the state of the LED. It also supports the normal operation of the synchronous boost function in battery-free mode.
    The NS2582 comes in a standard package of ESSOP-10 and ETSOP-14L.

    NS2582典型应用方案:

    NS2582 PCB Layout  建议
    PCB 布局应遵循如下规则以确保芯片的正常工作。
    1、功率线(地线、SW 线、VIN 线)应该尽量做到短、直和宽;
    2、VIN 电容 CVIN,电感 L 和 PMID 电容 CPMID 要尽量靠近引脚放置;
    3、升压拓扑的开关管回路面积要尽量小,走线尽量短;
    4、尽量加大 GND 热焊盘的面积,提高芯片的导热效果;
    5、功率开关节点(SW Node)通常是高频电压幅值方波,所以应保持较小铺铜面积,且模拟元件应远
    离功率开关节点区域以防止掺杂电容噪音;
    6、电路外围电阻的放置要尽量靠近引脚,并且远离 SW 网络走线,以避免噪音干扰。

    NS2582基本功能描述
        NS2582 是一款支持 4-5.5V 输入电压范围,最大输出为 2A 电流的同步升压双节锂电池充电管理芯片。NS2582 工作频率为 1.2MHz,内部集成了多重保护功能。芯片可通过调节 RICHG 电阻的阻值改变 CC 模式下的充电电流大小。NS2582 具有动态路径管理功能,通过连接 VSEN 引脚的分压电阻网络来设置输入 DPM 触发的阈值电压,并限制输入电流值的大小,从而匹配不同的适配器。NS2582 芯片内部集成了极低导通电阻的 MOSFETS,以实现较高的充电效率,芯片只需要极少数的外围器件。
    NS2582充电状态指示描述
        1.“充电状态”——STAT 引脚为低电平;
        2.“充满状态”——STAT 引脚为高电平;
        3.“错误状态”——STAT 引脚以 1Hz 频率高低电平翻转。如果 STAT 引脚连接 LED 灯到 VIN,则在充电状态时,LED 常亮;在充满状态时,LED 常灭;在错误状态时,LED 以 1Hz 的频率闪烁。

    NS2582开关模式时升压充电器基本工作方式描述
    NS2582工作原理
        NS2582 是一款以 USB 接口输入的开关模式升压充电器。采用固定 1.2MHz 的工作频率以实现外围电路最小化的设计。NS2582 在有电池时,会根据电池电压工作在短路模式,涓流模式,恒流模式和恒压模式。在无电池模式下,可以作为正常的升压转换器连接负载,其内部集成了恒压和恒流环路。

    NS2582保护原理
        NS2582 内置了多重电池保护功能。在输入过压保护,输出过压保护,热保护触发时,升压充电器会立即关闭 MOSFETS。当电池电压低于 VSHORT,触发短路保护时,主功率管立即关闭,芯片以 50mA的电流充电。当电池电压大于 VSHORT 而小于 VTRICKLE 时,充电器工作于轻载模式,调整 PMID 电压至6.8V,并以 100mA 的电流充电。当电池电压高于 VTRICKLE 时,芯片工作在 CC 模式下对负载进行充电。

    NS2582输入 DPM  工作原理
        NS2582 内置了 DPM 功能模块,可以在输入 DC 源或适配器过载时很好的保护设备。当过载发生时,较大的充电电流会拉低 VIN 的电压值,芯片会检测 VIN 的电压值与 SEN 引脚基准电压比较,如触发了DPM 功能,NS2582 会减小充电电流,并钳位 VIN 的电压。

    NS2582恒压模式电压选择
        NS2582 可以设定电池恒压模式的电压值。当 CV 电压小于 1V 时,恒压模式电压为 8.4V;当 CV 电压大于 2V 时,恒压模式电压为 8.7V。
